Boulder hopping at Felsenmeer – Melibokus – Zwingenberg
Let’s have some fun at Felsenmeer / Lautertal / Odenwald hopping from boulder to boulder and rock to rock. Translated into English as “sea of rocks,” the jumble of boulders near the town of Reichenbach is more a river of rocks than a placid lake of stones. But above all – it’s a great pile of rocks to climb on which I would like to invite you to.
First we will climb up the rocks and then have a lunch break at the top of the mountain. There is a small cabin, where they sell food like sausages, hot dogs and also beverages if you prefer not to bring anything along. It has always been open when I passed by but I can’t garantee. If you are not clear about your fitness level you can also walk up the path next to the rocks. After the lunch break we will continue walking to Melibokus where we will also have a small break with the possibility to buy food and drink and then walk down to the train station in Zwingenberg.
Distance will be around 14 km.
