Drachenfels Castle – Sprinzelfelsen – Geierstein loop – Palatinate Forest, 16 km
I would like to invite you to a 16 km roundtrip in the Palatinate forest. We will start at Weißensteiner Hof and pass by the Waldsofa with a terrific view on Drachenfels Castle. More sights on our path will be Buchkammerfels, Geierstein, Sprinzelfelsen and Eichelberg vantage point.
Ascent: 365 m
Descent: 365 m
Event Fee: 10 Euros
There is an non-written tradition in the group that seeks to keep events free. Though a laudable attitude, it is not always possible to give work and resources away. Two years ago the expenses for our events were covered through donations, but recently it has been necessary to remind people about the “green bag”, which usually results in just ONE person making a donation. I have tried to redirect my events to my Heart’s Project “The DreamWeaver’s Journey” which carries a fee, but that is a work in progress. Those who read and appreciate the work done for these activities will find a 10€ fee well worth it. The fee for the event covers the time and expenses required to organize the activity, and is payable at the beginning of the event. These events are more than just hiking. They are a space where people come together, can open up and feel connected and in the best scenario may find a lead to their purpose, or at least more clarity of vision. Not long ago I was on a hike with one of the Frankfurt groups and the organizer mentioned that in several years it had not occurred to anybody to pay for their drink and food in the restaurant after the hike. That is simply not appropriate, there has to be an exchange of some sort. Nature is a wonderful system of energy exchange. Let’s learn from her and show that we appreciate the effort made by others to help us along our journey.
I offer 4 seats in my car from Speyer and Heidelberg. 10 euros per person. If you’d like a seat please send me a private message with you phone number for fast contact. My one is +491624533588.
