Nils’ Birthday Hike – Auerbach Castle to Tannenberg Ruins – 16 km
The occasion for this hike is Nils’s Birthday which he would like to invite you to. After a one year stay in Argentina he has been back for a couple of months now and really enjoyed the easygoing international environment on our last hike to Hohenzollern Castle and would like to repeat the experience.
This will be the itinerary:
1st stage: Up to Auerbach Castle. From there up to Melibokus tower from where there is a great view. Then down to Alsbacher Castle. Once we are there we will have hiked for 8 km. There is a restaurant in Alsbcher Castle where we could have lunch. Who has had enough hiking can walk down to Zwingenberg Station.
2n stage: We will pass by Alsbach and continue to Seeheim-Jugenheim and from there up to Heiligenberg Castle (13 km). It seems to be an impressive construction. From there we will continue on to Tannenberg ruins (15 km). Now it will probably be around 16:00. We can relaxedly walk down to Seeheim-Jugenheim, have a drink together in order to finish off the event and then take the STR8 back home, to the starting point or somewhere else if we come up with other plans.
BE AWARE THAT IN CASE OF RAIN THE EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED!
ATTENTION: If there will be a waiting list I will post a comment on Wednesday 21 to confirm your assistance until Thursday evening 22. If you don’t confirm until then you will be removed from the participant’s list to give the ones on the waiting list a chance.
